Does Speech-to-Text auto captions transcribe background noise?

Speech-to-Text auto captions automatically transcribes spoken dialog in the video. It does not include captions notes for background audio though, such as music, sound effects, car horns, etc. If you would like to include notes on the background audio or the speakers’ names for dialog, you can manually include notes using our interactive captions editor.

After you use Speech-to-Text auto captions to transcribe the spoken dialog into text, the interactive captions editor will appear at the right of your screen as a white box with captions text. You can then update your captions by adding text to note background audio and speaker information as needed.
How to use Speech-to-Text for video captioning?

You can access the Speech-to-Text auto caption feature in ScreenPal’s screen recorder and video editor for paid plans. Open the captions icon, then click the “Speech-to-Text” option. You can choose from 88 different language dialogs for your Speech-to-Text auto captions. Speech-to-Text will automatically identify and transcribe the spoken text in that language and display the captions text in the interactive captions editor at the right of the screen.

You can edit, add, and update your captions as needed within the interactive captions editor. Once you are done reviewing and updating your captions, you can save the captions file and include it with the video when publishing.
